Wellness Coordinator/Assistant Case Manager (Little Saskatchewan Jordan’s Principle) – Opportunity

JOB TITLE:  Wellness Coordinator/ Assistant Case Manager

DESCRIPTION:  

Under the Direction and supervision of Jordan’s Principle Case Manager, the Jordan’s Principle Wellness Coordinator/ Assistant Case Manager will be responsible for focusing on intervention and prevention strategies and will support children and families by providing information regarding mental health, well-being and provide opportunities to access support services regarding mental health.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BSW and/or Counselling Degree in a related discipline from a credible post-secondary institution
  • Experience in working with mental health, counselling, and case management
  • Knowledgeable of current principles and practices in mental health
  • Familiar with mental health resources including at the community level
  • Comprehensive understanding of Jordan’s Principle and what services are provided
  • Ability to create and facilitate workshops related to Jordan’s Principle
  • Develop and provide culturally appropriate services for families/ children under Jordan’s Principle
  • Knowledgeable of working with First Nations and understanding of issues specific to First Nations
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Criminal Record check and Child Abuse Registry check must be submitted
  • Class 5 Manitoba driver’s licence and own vehicle required
  • Computer skills essential
